CFL GM 1816 arrives into Luxembourg with a rake of Wegmann coaches. The Luxembourg Railways (CFL) class 1800 locos are identical to the Belgian Railways (SNCB/NMBS) class 55s. None of the 1800s had ETH though. Some were boiler fitted and a few were “No heat”. The Wegmann coaches along with some units in Luxembourg were a bit strange in that the windows only opened on one side and to this day I have never been able to find out Why. The Wegmanns are, like the “Plan W” coaches in Holland, the same design as the Silverfish in Germany.
