Welcome to rail touring Dutch style. In order to get to the main rail tour, we joined a pair of sprinter units to traverse the yet to open Rotterdam Blaak tunnel. The tunnel had been built to dive under the Rhine to bypass a lifting bridge that had to be constantly lifted due to very heavy river traffic. This shot was taken at a photo stop near to the southern portal with units 2867 & 2868 in the background.
