Flat Iron
CFL "Flat Iron" 3620 is seen at Luxembourg station on a local service to Troisvierges (Three Virgins!). These loco's were built in 1960 and are the same design as the French BB12000 “monocabines”. They are 25kv locos and this brief look at one left me determined to return for more! What I had not realised in my nativity was that I could have “scratched” 3620 in part of the way and then carried on with 5529 to Liege. Not to worry 3620 would be caned in at a later date – no doubt on a very early bash before breakfast at “Johnnies” (More details later).
