KOPLOPER
A unit synonymous with Dutch railways, the Koploper comes in 3 or 4 car variants and back in 1992 were mostly concentrated on services between Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Den Haag to Leeuwarden and Groningen via Utrecht. The ability to couple / un couple automatically was the main reason for their use on this route as they would join / split at both Utrecht and Zwolle, often running with 4 units coupled on the core route. This is 4 car unit 4225 at Maastricht.
